KEARNEY, Neb. — Families rang in the new year early Tuesday at the Kearney Public Library with music, dancing and kid-friendly fun.

The library hosted its annual Happy Noon Year celebration, giving children and their families a chance to celebrate New Year’s Eve without staying up past bedtime.

The event featured music from Pure Platinum DJ Services, dancing, snacks and space for kids to move around and enjoy the moment.

Library staff say the event has become a favorite, drawing families of all ages from toddlers to grandparents to celebrate side by side.

The library regularly hosts free activities throughout the year, with more information available at the Kearney Public Library or through its weekly newsletter.
