BLUE SPRINGS, Neb --  The highly anticipated Cattleman’s Ball of Nebraska has announced that country music sensation Gabby Barrett will headline this year’s event, set for June 6-7, 2025, just east of Blue Springs.

Barrett, a rising star in country music, first gained national attention as a finalist on Season 16 of American Idol.  Since then, she has taken the country music scene by storm with hit songs like "I Hope" and "The Good Ones." Barrett’s powerful vocals and energetic performances have earned her multiple Country Music Association (CMA) nominations and a dedicated fan following.

The Cattleman’s Ball, an annual event dedicated to raising funds for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, rotates locations across Nebraska each year. This year, it will bring thousands of attendees to Gage County for a weekend filled with entertainment, fine dining, and a shared mission to fight cancer.

In addition to Barrett’s Saturday night headlining performance, the event will feature a variety of entertainment. The Friday night Trail Boss Reception will set the tone with a special performance by the Lincoln Symphony Quartet, adding a touch of elegance as guests enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres.

On Saturday morning, attendees will be treated to a brunch featuring tri-tip beef, donated by Myers Natural Angus and prepared by Lefty’s of Clatonia.

Following Barrett’s performance on Saturday evening, the celebration will continue in the Saloon Tent with a performance by Nebraska native Jordan Schoch, whose 2022 song "Chasing Storms" has gained local acclaim.

While the event is known for its entertainment and social gatherings, its primary mission is to raise funds for cancer research. The Cattleman’s Ball has been a driving force in supporting the Buffett Cancer Center while also promoting Nebraska’s rich beef industry and rural communities.

With over 500 to 700 volunteers and a projected attendance of 4,500 guests, this year’s ball is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.

Tickets are on sale now, and those interested in attending or volunteering can visit the Cattleman’s Ball website for more information.

Rain or shine, the 2025 Cattleman’s Ball of Nebraska promises to be a memorable event—one filled with great music, delicious food, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer.
