Nebraska’s Jordan Larson selected for National High School Hall of Fame

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska’s Jordan Larson has been selected for the National Federation of State High School Associations National High School Hall of Fame.
Larson, a native of Hooper, is part of the 2026 Hall of Fame class, which includes 12 honorees. The group will be inducted June 29 during the NFHS Summer Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Larson was one of the most celebrated volleyball players in Nebraska prep history during her time at Logan View High School.
As a junior in 2003, she averaged 15 kills per game and helped lead the Raiders to the Nebraska School Activities Association state volleyball finals. As a senior, she set a Class C1 record with 501 kills and helped Logan View reach the state semifinals.
Larson also competed in basketball and track and field in high school. She helped her basketball team qualify for the state tournament her senior year and competed in the 400-meter dash at the state track meet as a junior.
She later continued her career at the University of Nebraska, where she helped the Huskers win the 2006 NCAA national championship. As a senior, Larson was named Big 12 Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
Larson went on to compete with the U.S. women’s national volleyball team, appearing in four Olympic Games and helping the United States win medals in 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024. She was also named Olympic MVP and Best Outside Hitter during the 2020 Tokyo Games.
NSAA Executive Director Jennifer Schwartz said Larson’s career has inspired athletes across Nebraska.
“Jordan Larson’s career reflects not only extraordinary skill but also an unwavering dedication to team, community and country,” Schwartz said. “She has inspired countless young athletes in Nebraska and beyond.”
