Fire Crews Fight Grass Fire North of Hastings

Firefighters from several different agencies responded to a grass fire just north of Hastings.

ADAMS COUNTY, Neb. — Firefighters from several different agencies responded to a grass fire just north of Hastings.

According to Adams County emergency management, crews responded to a call just before 10:30 a.m. Monday morning near the intersection of Barrows Road and Highway 281. The main fire was extinguished around 11:30 a.m. but crews remained on the scene into the early afternoon hours.

Emergency services from Hastings, Adams County, Hall County, and the surrounding area aided on the scene.

No structures were involved. Due to hazardous conditions, the City of Hastings is under a burn ban until Friday, March 13th.

No official information has been reported on injuries or cause of the fire.
