KEARNEY, Neb. - In with the new, out with the old.

With the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce secured in its new digs on the south side of town, the old building came crumbling down on Monday.

The Kearney Chamber sold the building to Western Nebraska Bank out of North Platte in 2023 for $1.3 million.

The building valuation jumped nearly $560,000 from 2024 to 2025. Coupled with the land it is on, it was being taxed at over $1.2 million. There's a little over 30,000 square feet of land where the property sits.

News Channel Nebraska has a call in to the owners to see what's next for this highly visible property, located on 2nd Ave. East.
