Rekindled brush pile burn quickly contained with help from local farmers

NEAR DONIPHAN, Neb. (KSNB) - First responders were called out to a grass fire in rural Hall County Thursday morning.

Doniphan Fire and Rescue responded to the fire just after 10:30 a.m. to the area near 70th and Rosedale Road.

A Local4 reporter on scene could see smoke in the area.

Doniphan Fire Chief Tyson Coble said the fire rekindled from a permitted burn of a brush pile from over two weeks ago. He said about one acre burned.

Coble added that it was quickly contained with the help of local farmers with their disc.

Hall County remains under a Red Flag Warning Thursday.
