HASTINGS, Neb. -- The entirety of Nebraska is waking up to a wind chill advisory early Thursday.

The Panhandle was hit with snow and bitter cold temperatures throughout Wednesday, and now the uncomfortably cold wind chills are hovering over the entire state.

Wind chills are expected to be consistently below zero, with some areas recording wind chills as low as minus-30 degrees.

While most of Nebraska seems likely to avoid any of the snow that the southern Panhandle received on Wednesday, every county in the state is under a wind chill advisory until late morning on Thursday.

The National Weather Service advises people to wear multiple layers, and also to bring animals indoors.
