A former Franklin Public Schools football coach will spend years in prison after sentencing in a sexual abuse case involving a student.

FRANKLIN, Neb. — A former Franklin Public Schools football coach will spend years in prison after sentencing in a sexual abuse case involving a student.

38-year-old Anthony Campana was sentenced Thursday to 16 to 20 years in prison after pleading no contest to sexual assault of a minor and creating sexually explicit images.

Campana previously worked as a high school football coach and paraprofessional for Franklin Public Schools.

Court documents say Campana began communicating with the victim when she was fourteen and the relationship became sexual after she turned sixteen.

nvestigators also allege Campana created sexually explicit images involving the minor.
