A Multi agency pursuit leads to one arrested
A traffic stop leads to a long pursuit that ends 22 miles away in Central City.

By News Channel NebraskaCentral City, Neb. - An everyday traffic stop turned into a multi-agency pursuit that lands one woman behind bars.
Police say what started as a regular traffic stop in Grand Island turned into a pursuit on Highway 30. Alana Cloran-Brondel, a 49-year-old of Merrick County, led officers on a pursuit from Grand Island 22 miles to Central City involving the Merrick County Sheriff's, Central City police, and Nebraska State Patrol.
Officials say after multiple failed attempts to stop the vehicle, the Central City Police Department successfully deployed a tire deflation device on Highway 30, stopping the suspect's vehicle located near 24th Street.
After the driver refused to comply with verbal instructions, officers used a non-lethal deployment that temporarily incapacitated the driver, who was then removed from the vehicle and detained.
The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office arrested her for the following charges:
-Flight to Avoid Arrest
-Obstructing a Peace Officer
-Careless Driving
-Violation of Stop Sign
-No Valid Registration
The following charges are from the Central City Police Department:
-Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle
-Obstructing a Police Officer
-No Valid Registration
-Violate Stop Sign
