KEARNEY, Neb.— The annual Taste of Downtown on the Bricks in Kearney will be pouring up drinks and serving treats this Saturday.

With nearly 20 businesses participating, all are welcome to stroll the Bricks at their own pace to try samples and specials.

The event will be running from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, with each business’ hours fluctuating.

There is no stopping or starting point and participants are encouraged to start wherever they’d like to help boost small businesses all across the Bricks.

"This is a great opportunity to get people on the Bricks," says Kelsey Anderson, the Downtown Coordinator for the City of Kearney. "Then you're in the door, you get a sample of what's to come and then hopefully you come back down because you found something that you love or you get curious because you've never been here before."

All businesses participating have the opportunity to create something new to draw in new or old customers.

"This just brings people downtown and is a way to give back to small businesses by spending money in the community and keeping money circulating in the community," says Anderson.

If you would like to participate, please visit the Downtown Kearney on the Bricks Facebook page to buy your ticket and vote for your favorite businesses.

Tickets are $15 per person and will be on sale until Saturday.
