Man dies following Sunday house fire, Hastings Police confirms

Hastings Police confirmed that a man has died following a house fire Sunday morning.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Police confirmed that a man has died following a house fire Sunday morning.

Hastings Fire & Rescue were called to the fire just after 6 a.m. Sunday at a home near North Briggs Avenue and West Ninth Street.

The city of Hastings said in a news release Sunday that the man was removed from the house with lifesaving efforts performed on scene. The man was transported to Mary Lanning Healthcare, where he died.

According to city officials, no one else was inside the home and no other injuries were reported.

The Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
