Hastings Mayor delivers State of the City Address

Hastings Mayor Jay Beckby addressed the city council and public Monday night by delivering a 12-and-a-half minute speech covering his first 80 days in office, and his vision for the future.

HASTINGS, Neb. – Hastings Mayor Jay Beckby addressed the city council and public Monday night by delivering a 12-and-a-half minute speech covering his first 80 days in office, and his vision for the future.

Mayor Beckby also covered important topics affecting the city of Hastings including affordable housing, efficient city spending, plans for the upcoming city budget, and more. 

Beckby said he looks to continue a strong relationship with members of the city government, the public, and city staff by being transparent, which was part of his campaign promise.
