LINCOLN - Class C1 2-seed Minden weather a late shooting swoon, holding on for a 42-37 win over 7-seed Scotus Central Catholic in the Class C1 quarterfinals.

Minden's defense held the Shamrocks in check early. Scotus shot just 20% from the floor in the first half - including missing their first eight from three - as the Whippets opened a 26-12 lead.

But Scotus persevered, at one point scoring 16 unanswered over the third and fourth quarters to tie the game.

But luck wasn't on the Shamrock's side, as they could never get over the hump and Minden pulled away late.

The Whippets now advance to the C1 semis to face either Milford or Arlington.
