Mark E. Verbeck
Former Hastings resident Mark E. Verbeck, 54, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home.
Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial with military rites by the Hastings Military Honor Guard will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 10, at the funeral home. Mark was born and raised in Hastings, NE on April 1, 1970. He met and married his first wife, Tammy Jo Verbeck in Hastings. Together they had two kids Logan, and Kaila Verbeck. After Tammy passed away in 2004, Mark remarried Cathy Verbeck in David City. Together they had three kids: Sage, Sierra, and Aiden Verbeck. He also gained three step-daughters Katelyn, Brittney, Arianna. Mark served four years in the Marines. Mark also worked many years in the chemical business, but he lost his foot in March of 2024. After which he started working at Sam's club with daughters Sage and Sierra. Mark was preceded in death by his late wife, Tammy Verbeck; mother, Cindy Verbeck; brother-in-law, Terry Busboom; and sister-in-law, Bauny Milam. He is survived by his father, Larry Verbeck; wife, Cathy Verbeck; sons, Logan (Aubree) and Aiden; daughters, Kaila (Dylon), Sage, Sierra, Courtney (Robert), Katelyn, Brittney, and Arianna; sisters, Monica and Tonia (Shawn); grandchildren, Kylie, Dawson, Kirra, Cora, Andrew, Devina, Amora, and Ronnie; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
