Motorcycle driver dies after crashing into ambulance
PLEASANTON, Neb. — A motorcycle driver has died after authorities say he drove into the back of an ambulance.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before 1:30 Saturday morning on Highway 10 north of Pleasanton. According to a news release, an ambulance was driving south transporting a patient to Kearney when it slowed to meet up with another ambulance. That’s when 29-year-old Jacob Kimberly of Holdrege crashed his motorcycle into the back of the ambulance. He died at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Kearney/Buffalo County Fatality Accident Investigation Team (FAIT), Loup City Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, CHI Good Samaritan Hospital Paramedics, Nebraska State Department of Roads, and the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office.
