LEXINGTON, Neb. — Authorities are releasing more information about a body found in a downtown alley of a Central Nebraska city.

Lexington Police say they aren’t releasing the man’s name yet because they haven’t been able to identify any family members. They did announce Monday that the 39-year-old man was not from the United States. He was homeless and had been living in town for the last month or two.

Investigators say evidence at the scene and autopsy results suggest the man died from head injuries caused by a backwards fall. They don’t suspect foul play.

Officers responded to a call about a man who appeared passed out in an alley in the 100 block of W 6th St. on Thursday evening. First responders determined the man was dead.
