Autopsy scheduled after body found in downtown Lexington alley

The Lexington Police Department is investigating after finding a body in an alley.

LEXINGTON, Neb. — The Lexington Police Department is investigating after finding a body in an alley.

Police say officers responded to a call around 6:15 Thursday night about a man who appeared passed out in the 100 block of W 6th St., which is in downtown Lexington. A news release says first responders determined the man was dead.

Police are withholding the man’s name until contacting his family but say he was 39 years old.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
