WEST POINT - Sometimes it's as easy as whoever makes the shots, wins the game.

The Guardian Angels Central Catholic boys basketball team utilized their height, blocking and altering shots from the shorter Crofton Warriors, pulling away late for a 54-41 win.

The Warriors struggled from the field from the jump, missing their first nine shots and falling behind 11 early. By the fourth quarter, the Blue Jay lead swelled to as high as 19 before they held off the Warriors late.

The win is GACC's third on the season, already a strong turnaround from last year, when they won four games total.

The Blue Jays have beaten Crofton in seven of their last nine matchups.
