Kearney student teacher accused of sexually assaulting student
A student teacher is in jail accused of sexually assaulting a student.

KEARNEY, Neb. — A student teacher is in jail accused of sexually assaulting a student.
Kearney Public Schools contacted Kearney Police on Saturday about a possible sexual relationship between the student teacher and a teenage student at Kearney High School. After investigating, police arrested 23-year-old KeyShaun Van Dyke for first-degree sexual assault.
A news release says the incident didn’t happen on school property or during school hours.
Van Dyke was listed on the UNK football roster this fall as a redshirt senior outside linebacker. He did not record any statistics. He is originally from Florissant, MO.
Van Dyke is due in court for a preliminary hearing on April 12.
