Colorado man arrested for alleged road rage incident near Elm Creek
ELM CREEK, Neb. -- Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested a Colorado man for a reported road rage incident involving a handgun on Interstate 80 near Elm Creek.
Troopers said Buffalo County Communications contacted the NSP dispatchers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and told NSP that they had gotten a report of a driver raising a handgun at another driver on I-80.
Officials said the troopers found the suspect vehicle, a Ford Fusion, traveling west. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 237, the Lexington interchange.
According to authorities, the driver was 40-year-old Jose Rolison, of Denver, Colo. Officers reportedly found a stolen handgun with Rolison and he was arrested.
Officers said Rolison was lodged at the Dawson County Jail and charged for possession of a stolen firearm, terroristic threats, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of marijuana – less than one ounce.
NSP said any suspected road rage incidents can be reported by calling 911.
