KHAS Sports Director Mike Will included in 33rd Hastings College Athletic Hall of Fame class

HASTINGS, NE — KHAS Sports Director Mike Will is being recognized for his decades of work covering Hastings College athletics.
Will is included in the 33rd class joining the Hastings College Athletic Hall of Fame, which was announced on Thursday. The class is comprised of eight individuals and two teams.
A news release says Will is being honored for meritorious service. He has been in the radio industry for 40 years and has been the voice of the Broncos since 1999. In addition to delivering play-by-play of football, basketball and baseball games on KHAS radio, he has provided detailed coverage the Broncos programs in his daily sports reports. Will was named Media Person of the Year by the Nebraska Coaches Association in 2011 and has won various broadcasting awards from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association.
Will and the others in the class will join the Hall of Fame during a reception and banquet held in conjunction with Hastings College Homecoming on September 24.
The Athletic Hall of Fame induction begins with a social hour at Kiewit Gymnasium (715 E. 7th Street) on campus at 5:00 p.m., followed by a banquet at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased at hastings.edu/homecoming or by contacting the Hastings College alumni office at 402.461.7363 or alumni@hastings.edu.

- Ladd Cochrane ‘58 of Chandler, Arizona, for football
- Jeff Faiman ‘01 of Omaha, Nebraska, for baseball
- Tamisha Rose-Osgood ‘06 of Hastings, Nebraska, for track and field
- Rebecca (Glisan) Hester ‘12 of Omaha, Nebraska, for women’s soccer
- Gabriel Wickham ‘12 of Phillipsburg, Kansas, for track and field
- Cody Weber ‘12/14 MAT of Omaha, Nebraska, for track and field
- Jessica (Carlson) Dyer ‘13 of Papillion, Nebraska, for women’s soccer
- Mike Will of Hastings, Nebraska, for meritorious service
- 1971 Men’s Track team, won both the NIAC Conference and District 11 Championships
- 2010 Women’s Soccer team, posted a 17-5-3 season record, including an 11-0-1 Conference record, and finished as National Runner Up
