Early in my broadcasting life I noticed that I have no skill in any meaningful trade, so I went with what I knew best… competitive cake designing. When that ended, because I ate everything, I found my true joy in life is waking up at 4AM and going to bed by 7PM.  HELLO MORNING SHOW!

I jumped around from station to station but when I came to central Nebraska, I knew this was going to be my new home. The people, the opportunities, the generosity, and love from everyone made me love it here.

In 2018 one Tri-City station made a HUGE mistake but ultimately it led me to become The Vibe’s New Morning Show Host and I couldn’t be happier!!!!

Those listeners that loved my show previously will recognize the same passion for the broadcast and commitment to wake up the Tri-Cites every workday morning 6A-10A with The Murphy in the Morning Show with my co-host Tim.

Since starting in the radio business, I have worn several hats. I started in digital sales, then added radio sales, writing and producing radio commercials, social media promotions, accounts payable, and even payroll. When I was approached and asked if I would be interested in being on the new morning show, I was quick to answer…YES! So, here I am.

I grew up in Kearney, graduating from Kearney High, where I met my husband Alan, then received a degree from UNK 4 years later. This took us to Colorado where we lived for 5 years. Once our daughter Jada was born, we decided to head back to Kearney, then 2 short years later our son Kaid arrived.

For fun I enjoy spending lots of time with my family, together we camp, golf, fish, watch scary movies and vacation. On a daily basis though, I mostly follow them like a maid and personal driver to all the activities, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I also enjoy walking my two dogs (Klaus the Pug & Zeppelin the Newfoundland), reading, drinking wine, binge watching series, golfing, and hanging with friends.
