SAINT PAUL, Neb. -- Two people are facing charges after a central Nebraska police pursuit.

The Saint Paul Police Department says the incident happened around 10 p.m.

Police and the Howard County Sheriff's office tried to catch up to a car to conduct a traffic stop. 

They say the car fled and officers later found it abandoned near 8th and Baxter Street in Saint Paul. 

Other officers responded and arrested two people that had run after a brief chase. 

One of them had outstanding Howard and Hall County warrants. 

The charges include driving under suspension, flight to avoid arrest and several drug and weapons violations.
