SIDNEY - One access point to the Sidney hospital will be closed while a major road project continues on the east side of town.

Sidney Regional Medical Center was notified Tuesday the intersection of Pole Creek Cross and Link 17J will temporarily close Wednesday while concrete is removed and preparations are made for a new turn lane.

The closure is expected to last a day or more. The intersection will be closed for several days in the near future while new concrete is laid.

SRMC encourages people who need to access the hospital to use the Hwy. 30 and Greenwood Road intersection or via Fort Sidney Road east on Pole Creek Crossing.

The Link 17J road construction is expected to last until late November or early December.
