Scottsbluff soccer teams pick up pair of wins over Buffalo

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Scottsbluff soccer teams move to 3-0 on the season with wins over Buffalo at Landers Complex. The Scottsbluff girls earned an 8-3 win over Buffalo.

The contest saw Scottsbluff roar out to a 3-1 first half lead only to see Buffalo answer with two goals to tie the game. But Scottsbluff answered the run with a key goal from Addi Wilson to put the Bearcats up 4-3 at halftime. Second half was all Scottsbluff as they outscored Buffalo 4-0 to claim the win.

Kate Larson, Addi Wilson, Emma Foote, Ella Foote, and Emilee Bentley all scored in the contest to make up the Bearcats 8 goals.

The Scottsbluff boys also used strong defense and great execution to pick up a 6-0 win over Buffalo on Thursday.

Bearcats opened the game with a Charly Gomez score and they never looked back. Kellon Harris gave Scottsbluff a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Just like the ladies game Scottsbluff outscored Buffalo 4-0 to claim the win.

Charly Gomez, Kellon Harris, Octavious Gonzalez, Porter Robbins, Braden Anderson, Francisco Morales all scored for the Bearcats in the win. Up next for both Scottsbluff teams North Platte on Monday.
