The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Keith County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 1130 PM MDT.

* At 828 PM MDT, law enforcement reported flash flooding in downtown
Ogallala. Thunderstorms will continue to produce heavy rain across
portions of the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ogallala, Paxton, Sarben, Roscoe and Nevens.

Additional rainfall amounts of one inch are possible in the warned
area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
