OMAHA - With national 'Hot Dog' Day on the horizon, members of the North American Food Institute are donating 325,000 hot dogs to Feeding America Food banks.

Hot Dog Day is typically a big celebration in Washington, but this year COVID-19 has changed it into an opportunity for the meat and poultry industry to help millions of Americans turning to food banks, many for the first time, to feed their families.

Here in Nebraska, the North American Meat Institute is recognizing 'Omaha Steaks' for donating to the Food Bank for the Heartland in Omaha.

National Hot Dog Day is Wednesday.
