Lincoln Police Investigating Saturday Morning Shooting

A 31-year old man was shot to death early Saturday

LINCOLN - The Lincoln Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 31-year-old man.

The LPD says the shooting took place just before 4:30 AM Saturday morning in the alley bordering North 32nd and North 33rd Streets. Officers found the male in the alley with gunshot wounds, and life-saving efforts by friends and personnel from Lincoln Fire and Rescue were unsuccessful.

Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians are in the preliminary stages of the investigation, the LPD says it is working to understand the events that preceded the homicide.
