987 The Big Boy to give away John Deere mower during “Off the Rails” Highway 30 ride
Listeners of 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country will have a chance to win a brand-new John Deere S100 riding lawn tractor as part of the station’s annual “Off the Rails” Mower Ride contest.
SIDNEY, Neb. — Listeners of 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country will have a chance to win a brand-new John Deere S100 riding lawn tractor as part of the station’s annual “Off the Rails” Mower Ride contest.
The contest challenges participants to guess how far the mower can travel on a single tank of gas along Highway 30 from Sidney to Chappell. The mower will be driven until it runs out of fuel, and the listener with the closest guess — without going over — will win the tractor.
The live mower ride is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27. The event will travel eastbound along Highway 30, beginning in Sidney and continuing toward Chappell until the mower runs out of gas.
Listeners can register and submit their guess through May 20 at designated sign-up locations throughout the region. Find out where to sign up at thebigboy987.com.
The contest is presented in partnership with Sutton Home Gallery, the Logan County Fair & Rodeo and Adams Autos and Equipment.
The John Deere S100 lawn tractor, part of the 100 Series lineup, is designed for residential yard care and features a powerful engine and easy-to-use controls.
Listeners are encouraged to tune in to 987 The Big Boy on May 27 for live coverage of the mower ride and the official distance announcement.
