Pioneers sign to play college football

Players sign for Peru State, Midlands

Nebraska City Pioneers Adam Howard and Tyrese Gardner signed to play college football on Wednesday at the high school commons.

MaxPreps has Howard, a linebacker and running back, listed with 55 tackles in C1, including two tackles for a loss. He signed with Peru State.

Gardner rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns for the Pioneers. He signed with Midland.
