Hastings resident Phyllis Wathen, 94, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

 

Private Graveside Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

 

Phyllis was born April 20, 1931, in Hastings, NE to Henry and Elizabeth (Mueller) Juggert. She married Paul E. Wathen on February 3, 1951, in Hastings, NE. Phyllis was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Wathen; daughter, Beverly Wetherbee; granddaughter, Misty Marie; great-granddaughter, Kaelynn Marie Wathen; five brothers, Fred, Ray, Clarence, Carl, and Reuben; and five sisters, Esther Meyer, Martha Osterbuhr, Edna Thavenet, Pauline Hull, and Helen Parker.
