KEARNEY, Neb. - The Kearney City Council has approved tax increment financing for a new restaurant planned on the city’s south side.

Talmadge Jam LLC will build the one-story, 5,700 square-foot restaurant just south of the Kearney Visitor's Center and east of the SportsPlex- near the new Younes Landing complex.

Construction is set to begin November 1st of next year, with completion expected by the end of 2026.

Developers say the project will bring new dining options to Kearney and boost tourism and sales tax revenue.

Owner Paul Younes says the restaurant won't be released yet, but will provide more details soon.
