KEARNEY, Neb. - A stolen truck packed with stolen goods led Kearney Police to a suspect wanted in connection with multiple thefts in New Hampshire.

An automatic license plate reader alerted officers to a vehicle reported stolen out of New Hampshire, and police quickly located the truck at the Fort Kearney Museum.

The driver, later identified as 54-year-old Fred Cross, initially gave a fake identity to police.

Officers determined the truck had stolen plates and was filled with stolen property, including two outboard boat motors.

Investigators linked the contents to recent burglaries in the Laconia, New Hampshire area.

Police arrested Cross for felony possession of stolen property, possession of meth and false reporting.

He also received citations for marijuana, paraphernalia, and an open alcohol container.
