First responders clear scene of injury accident at Hwy 30 and 30th Ave

Traffic is back to normal after Kearney Police and first responders cleared the scene of a two-vehicle injury accident on the west side of town.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Traffic is back to normal after Kearney Police and first responders cleared the scene of a two-vehicle injury accident on the west side of town. 

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Hwy 30 and 30th Ave.

While on scene, News Channel Nebraska observed one vehicle being removed by tow truck while police directed traffic at the busy intersection.

Kearney Police posted on social media around 2:15 p.m. asking residents to temporarily avoid the area of the crash while traffic control maintained safety. 

First responders had the scene cleared in under an hour, and police say two injuries were sustained and are both believed to be minor.
