Hastings resident Morris “Mike” Derrickson, 78, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

 

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 24, at Juniata Cemetery in Juniata with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

 

Mike was born November 28, 1946, to James & Dorris (Leftwich) Derrickson in Alliance, NE. After graduating from high school, Mike married Betty Janssen on December 22, 1973, in Lexington, NE; she preceded him in death in 2012. Mike worked for Premium Pride Packing Plant in Lexington and retired in 2009. He enjoyed spending time with family and drawing.

 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife; step-father, Clarence Whiting; brother, Edward Derrickson; and sister, Martha Morgan.
