Glenvil resident Michael “Mike” Munstermann, 61, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Bryan Medical Center East, Lincoln, NE.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 13, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Ben Siebert officiating. The burial will be at Glenvil Cemetery in Glenvil. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a youth bowling scholarship to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Mike was born July 5, 1963, in Hastings, NE to William and Charlotte (Brown) Munstermann. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1981. Mike farmed in the area and was part-owner of Pastime Lanes Bowling Alley in Hastings. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings Bowling Association, Hastings Melon Roasters Car Club, and Nebraska Rod & Customs Association. Mike was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Hastings Bowling Hall of Fame in 2015. He was very proud of his 300 game and 700 series.

 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ralph & Mabel Brown and William & Wilhelmina Munstermann.
