Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney football team will play five home games in 2025 including the 74th all-time meeting with Chadron State.

The Lopers kickoff its 119th regular season on August 28 (Thursday) with a trip to Wayne State. This is the first time UNK and the Wildcats have met on the gridiron since 2011 and marks the 85th game between the two. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

On the following Saturday, September 6, the Lopers host the CSC Eagles (7 p.m.)  for the first time in five years. UNK leads the all-time series by a 51-21-1 margin and recorded an 18-6 win in Chadron this past August.

The conference slate includes return trips to Foster Field from both Emporia State (Sept. 20) and 2024 league champion Central Oklahoma (Nov. 1) with the Lopers heading to Washburn (Sept. 27) and Missouri Southern (Oct. 18) again. Finally, Missouri Western will be the "Homecoming" opponent on October 11, UNK's only home contest that month, with Central Missouri the "Senior Day" foe on November 15. The Lopers bye falls on Week 11 (Nov. 8) next year.

Information on ticket sales, tailgating, road game times and promotional events will be announced in the spring and summer of 2025. The 15th annual Loper Backers event officially starts the 2025 season countdown and that is set for April 24 at the Younes Convention Center.

UNK went 5-6 in 2024 and begins winter workouts next month with spring ball set for March and April.
