NCN radio stations join as Supernovas Radio Network affiliates

OMAHA, Neb. — News Channel Nebraska is adding professional volleyball to its radio arsenal.

Select NCN radio stations will be affiliate stations for Omaha Supernovas volleyball during the 2025 season. The Supernovas are part of the Professional Volleyball Federation, which is entering its second season.

News Channel Nebraska will provide affiliate coverage across Nebraska through ESPN Tri-Cities, KNCY in Nebraska City, KGMT in Fairbury, and KSID-AM in Sidney. ESPN Tri-Cities broadcasts on 1460/1550 AM and 92.1/92.7 FM, covering much of south-central Nebraska. KNCY is available on 105.5 FM and 1600 AM, KGMT on 1310 AM, and KSID on Cheyenne County Country (1340 AM, 95.7 FM in Sidney and Cheyenne County). 

NCN is partnering with Walnut Media to join in the “Supernovas Radio Network.” The network will reach five states in its 2025 coverage with signals reaching Nebraska and parts of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Colorado.

Omaha native Grant Hansen will lead play-by-play duties with Nebraska Volleyball National Champion and Omaha Skutt Volleyball head coach Renee Saunders returning for her second season on the mic as the color announcer.

The Supernovas open their season on Jan. 10 at the CHI Health Center.
