Grand Island, Neb. - Hall County sample ballots for the November 5, 2024 general election are now available for viewing on NEBRASKA VOTER CHECK https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov/VoterView

"This is a great tool for voters to see their own individual ballot." said Hall County Election Commissioner Tracv Overstreet. "Voters enter their name and county on the website and it will bring up the polling place location for that voter as well as the sample ballot at the bottom of the voter page.'

"Sometimes voters don't know which school board ward or city council ward they live in, so this can be a big time-saver for a voter to see the specific candidates and issues on the ballot to get ready for the election," Overstreet said. "The sample ballots also have the exact wording of the five initiatives and one referendum question that voters can read through now to get prepared."

Voters may even print off the sample ballot and bring it with them to use as a guide when voting. Early voting in person runs October 7 to November 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Hall County Administration Building, 121 S. Pine Street. The building will be closed Oct. 14 for Columbus Day. Hall

County's 24 polling sites will be open Election Day November 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Hall County voters needing to update their name, address or party affiliation prior to voting may do so online through October 18 on the Nebraska Voter Check site by clicking on the "not yet registered" link.

Voter information updates will be accepted in person through 6 p.m. October 25 at the Hall County Election Office, 121 S. Pine St.

An information packet on Nebraska's five initiatives - abortion ban, paid medical leave, medical cannabis patient protection, medical cannabis regulation, and abortion rights; as well as one referendum on private education scholarships, is available at the Hall County Election Office for review.

"The November 5 general election is a big election and we want all voters to be ready and prepared for the questions on the ballot." Overstreet said.
