Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska competition highlights Central Nebraska businesses
Five central Nebraska businesses are being highlighted in a manufacturing competition.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - - Five central Nebraska businesses are being highlighted in a manufacturing competition.
For the third consecutive year, a contest hosted by the Nebraska Manufacturing Alliance and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce announced its 16 nominees for the Coolest Thing Made In Nebraska.
Among the contestants are businesses located in Central Nebraska. They include the Scratchtown Brewing of Ord's Barrel Aged Lord of Ord, the 9mm luger +P critical duty bulled made by Hornady of Grand Island, insulin syringes with ultra fine needles made by Embecta in Holdrege, Simply Sunflower Oil made by Simply Sunflower in Ord, and the BonnaVilla Modular Home made by Chief Industries in Aurora.
The competition is meant to highlight Nebraska’s manufacturing industry. The public is encouraged to vote online starting on September 11.
The champion will be announced at the Nebraska Manufacturing Summit on October 29th.
