Last week, the Kearney Regional Medical Center Maternity Care Center welcomed the 5,000th baby born at the center, which has been open since 2017.

“This milestone highlights the dedication and expertise of the Maternity Care Center's staff, who work tirelessly to ensure each birth is a special and memorable experience for families,” a hospital spokesperson said in a statement.

The Maternity Care Center includes 10 labor and delivery rooms, four NICU rooms, two antepartum rooms, and a surgical room.
