On the way to winning the Class A state track and field team title, the Kearney High boys won one of the most thrilling races of the meet.

OMAHA, Neb. — On the way to winning the Class A state track and field team title, the Kearney High boys won one of the most thrilling races of the meet.

The Bearcats finished strong to win the 4x100 M relay with a time of 41.90. Elkhorn South finished with the same time to the hundredths, but were thousandths of a second behind Kearney.

The Bearcats went on to win the meet with 78 team points, 12 more than Millard West.
