KEARNEY, Neb. — The Nebraska volleyball team will play its annual spring match in Kearney.

The Huskers and Kearney Public Schools announced Thursday that it will happen at Kearney High on May 4. The Big Red will take on Denver University at 2:00 p.m.

This is the second time Kearney has hosted the Huskers, with NU taking on Colorado State in 2017. Last year’s match was played in Central City and previous destinations have included Grand Island, Ogallala, McCook, Norfolk and Wayne.

Nebraska went 33-2 last season and lost in the national championship game. Denver, a Summit League team, went 14-12 in 2023.

Tickets will go on sale to the public Tuesday, April 2 at 10 a.m. in person only at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $32 for courtside seating. You must be 16 or older to purchase tickets, and there will be a maximum of four tickets sold per person. There will be no ticket replacement for lost tickets and you must pay with cash only. No tickets will be sold through the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office.

The Huskers' spring match will be televised statewide on Nebraska Public Media and streamed online on B1G+. In addition to television and streaming coverage, the match will air on select Huskers Radio Network affiliates and the official Huskers App.
