October 2023 Female ESPN Tri-Cities Athlete of the Month

Camryn Johnson

Golf

Camryn won the individual state title in girls’ golf for 2023. She won the State championship on the 18th hole. Also, she helped lead her team to its 4th straight team state championship, a Class C record. She is an amazing team-mate and mentor to many of our golfers on our team and is an excellent student.

This season, Camryn placed 1st at the Kearney Catholic Invite, GICC Invite, Broken Bow Invite, Awarii shootout, Gothenburg Invite, North Platte High Invite, Holdrege Invite, Southwest Conference, and the C4 Districts. At the North Platte High Invite, Johnson set a school record, shooting 65 on 18 holes, and a 31 on 9 holes. That also set the River’s Edge course record. She is also now the back-to-back Southwest Conference Champion, and a 4 time Southwest Conference 1st team medalist. She is a two-time state medalist, and was the 2022 individual state runner up.
