Wilcox-Hildreth senior Brody Patterson is being recognized for a historic season on the mat.

Patterson has been named ESPN Tri-Cities Male Athlete of the Month after recently recording his 150th career victory.

“I’m only the second person to have 150 career wins in school history, so that was big for me and for the school,” said Brody. “It feels really good just giving everybody else someone to look up to.”

Beyond the milestone, Patterson’s season has been defined by consistency and leadership in the wrestling room.

Teammates and coaches say his work ethic has helped set the tone for the program, especially for younger wrestlers looking to follow in his footsteps.

His coach, and father, Justin Patterson says the milestone is the result of years of dedication.

“He’s worked hard his whole high school career, he’s put a lot of time in during the offseason, and he’s got a drive to succeed. He works hard for his goals,” said Justin.

Brody says he's now focused on postseason competition as he looks to continue building his legacy at Wilcox-Hildreth.
