HOLDREGE, Neb. — Two people are receiving medical care after a rollover accident in Holdrege.

The Phelps County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of 13th St. and Highway 183. A news release says a pickup driven by an Alma man didn’t stop at a stop sign on 13th St. and entered the intersection. A semi trailer driven by an Overton man hit the driver’s side door of the truck, pushing it into a ditch where it rolled once. The release says the semi made second contact with the pickup and became intertwined.

The Holdrege Volunteer Fire Department used Jaws of Life to remove the Alma man from the wreckage. A medical helicopter flew him to a Kearney hospital. The semi driver was transported to a Holdrege hospital.
