Vehicle thefts in Grand Island most likely related, police say

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Five people in Grand Island now have their vehicles back after police say they were stolen over the weekend.
According to Grand Island Police, the incidents happened between Friday and Sunday and could be related.
The first incident occurred between Friday and Saturday. A victim reported that a GMC valued at $9,000 had been stolen from 1108 5th St. W. She had left the keys in the vehicle.
On Saturday morning, a vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly. When officers arrived, there was no one in the vehicle and witnesses said two individuals were seen walking from it. The car had been reported stolen.
That same day, a woman reported her vehicle had been stolen. She had left her keys inside.
At around noon Saturday, a man reported his vehicle had been stolen. He told police that he had last seen his BMW parked outside his house on Friday. According to reports, he had also left his keys inside the vehicle and had left the door unlocked.
On Sunday afternoon, a woman reported that her vehicle had been stolen.
According to officials, all cars were recovered and returned to their owners.
At the moment, police are still investigating the cases.
