KEARNEY, Neb. — A Buffalo County man is dead after authorities say his pickup crashed into a power pole.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called Tuesday evening to a single-vehicle crash near 160th and Poole Road, which is about 10 miles northeast of Kearney. A news release says a southbound pickup driven by 42-year-old Scott King entered the east ditch and hit the power pole. Deputies found King's body in a ditch about 100 yards from the truck.

An autopsy has been ordered and an investigation into the crash continues.
