GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol performed alcohol compliance checks at businesses in Hall County.

NSP said they checked 31 businesses in the evening of March 24. Five of the businesses reportedly sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 84% while four other businesses did not check the minor’s ID.

According to authorities, the businesses that failed were Prairie Pride Brewing Company in Grand Island; Kiko’s Cantina in Grand Island; Bonzai Beach Club in Grand Island; Pumpers in Grand Island; and American Legion Post 314 in Wood River.

Officials said the businesses checked were restaurants, convenience stores, bars, and liquor stores. The ones that failed the inspections will be referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission while the clerks are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
