GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A Hall County jury says a Grand Island man is guilty of first-degree murder.
The jury returned the verdict against 35-year-old Donald Anthony on Monday morning.
Anthony was accused of murder in the first-degree, use of a deadly weapon to commit felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person on Feb. 15.
According to court documents, an eyewitness saw Anthony and Said Farah engaged in an argument. Anthony kicked, punched and knocked Farah to the ground. The eyewitness said Anthony then placed a knife to Farah's neck and fled the scene.
Investigators were able to corroborate the statements because of surveillance video. Anthony was arrested on Feb. 17 in St. Paul, Nebraska.
The jury started deliberation on Friday but was unable to reach a verdict after eight hours, so the deliberations resumed Monday morning.
Anthony will be sentenced on Feb. 14.
